“I enrolled to do a 10 week
'introduction to psychology’ course and ended up being totally hooked on the
subject and the lecturer! It has been truly inspiring to see someone 'be’ as
they 'speak’. Someone who so obviously lives what he is teaching. There is a
passion, enthusiasm, knowledge and openness which engaged every member of the
group and had most asking how they could continue to study with him. I myself
have booked a place on his new Psychology and Spirituality course starting in
September and can’t wait. I have no doubt that if you come on this course with
an open mind and heart then it will do for you exactly 'what it says on the
tin’.”
Sarah Jane Barnes, Psychology
& Spirituality course student
“Complex topics explained in a
simple way. A clear feeling of enjoinment and passion from the teacher created
an environment I feel was conducive to learning”
Kathy Lang, Positive Psychology course student
“Thank you for the
amazing awareness therapy sessions. Our work together taught me a lot of things
about myself and helped me finding my happiness. It has also helped me in
finding ways to cope with stressful situations”
Diane Melbrooks, Awareness therapy client
"Thank you so very much for creating
such a warm and enlightening experience for us this weekend. The venue was so
stimulating and unique and the food was simply delicious. The schedule for each
day was very well devised and everything was so well organised that we could
just relax into the weekend. We also enjoyed meeting everyone and amazed
how we jelled so well together. The sunshine was the finishing touch! We got so
much out of the yoga and meditation sessions and felt a tremendous peace by the
end of weekend. You have given us tools that we now want to use day to day and
we have started already with meditation and yoga stretches this morning! Thank
you so very much!"
“Itai is such an
enthusiastic and engaging teacher, he inspired me to come back and also to look
forward to each lecture. Week after week I left feeling positive about life and
how we deal with what it may throw at us”
Jean Austich, Social Psychology course student
"Thank you for having been
the lecturer whom you were for me. An inspiration, a source of applied wisdom,
and a person who has touched me deep inside with his words. I have heard things
from you that I knew were deep inside of me, Things I used to believe as a
child but which got "overwritten" over the years. Having heard you
talk about all these things I had forgotten, but which I missed so much about
myself, reminded me of that feeling of inner peace. Thank you!"
Marie Chirter, Psychology
& Spirituality course student
" 'This man lives and
breathes the lecture' said one of my friends as we left the lecture theatre in
Bedford Way. It would have been impossible to disagree. In fact, to pack out a
lecture theatre full of students early on a Monday morning would have been an
achievement in itself. People love this flamboyant lecturer so much that there
is often not a single seat spare, with many of those arriving on time ending up
sitting on the floor. My experience of his teachings is one of eclectically
engaging, imaginatively intelligent use of multimedia audio-visuals to capture
his spectators. It is highly entertaining to watch his quick witted control
over such a diverse group, quick quips, and entertaining habits. He’s funny,
yet intense; energetic yet provoking stimulating discussion. His dramatic passion
absolutely motivates all his students. He leaves the lecture room full of
people sad to see him go, paying tribute to his captivating personality. The
rarity of a genuine round of applause from any lecture theatre at UCL makes it
evident that he really has mastered the art of inner balance, which he
promotes. This man is a brave yet clear thinker. A hidden gem of a lecturer
with delighted, captive audiences to prove it"
Jake Fairnie, Social
Psychology course student
“Thank you for teaching me how
to meditate in such an inspiring way”
Kari Roter, Meditation
workshop participant
"Wow wow wow!!! What a fab weekend I'm still smiling and feeling the loveliness that the
weekend created it was amazing. I'm missing the house, people, practice and food.
See you soon and once again a massive thank you for hosting such a fabulous
weekend"
Jules Enyena, Meditation retreat participant
“I'd like to thank you for
your wise words. Your course was brilliant; the things you said during your
lectures had more of an impact on my thinking than you may know. I feel very
sorry for those students who will miss out on having you as lecturer, and I am
very happy that I had the opportunity. I found that you believed what you
taught and truly had a passion for what you call 'self awareness'”
“The awareness
therapy was so much more than what I expected. Experiencing the awareness
therapy made me realise how my past is influencing my present and holding me
back. Working with you allowed me freedom. Thank you"
Michael Journ, Awareness therapy client
"I just wanted to thank you for an amazing
weekend. It was pitched at the perfect level for me and I experienced exactly
what I needed to, an introduction to several meditation methods and a chance to
find a method suitable for me. I really intend to incorporate this into my life
on a regular basis as I could already feel the benefits of it after just 2
days. I don't mean to gush but I'd like you to know that I feel very
privileged to have met you. I work in an industry that is full of conflict and
genuinely good people are hard to find (probably because it's difficult to
survive!) so it was a real treat to meet people such as yourself and to share
that experience with the incredible group of people we had at the retreat. I
feel very lucky"
Charmaine Anower, Meditation retreat participant
“I just wanted to thank you
personally for being such an amazing professor to us this year. Your lectures,
and the passion and zeal with which you taught us what you seem so truly to
believe, made me realise what psychology is really about. You've had a great
impact on all of us. I envy your new students already!”
“The only thing
that I'm disappointed with is the fact that it’s only 8 weeks! The course was
very enjoyable and enlightening and has encouraged me to learn more about
psychology”
Dan Candrick, Introduction to Psychology course student
“When I commented
in class, Itai would respond encouragingly and endeavour to help me uncover why
I felt/thought this way”
“Itai was
encouraging and inclusive. Particularly good at allowing space for discussion
and sharing ideas in conversation. Very responsive to thoughts of participants
and directing us back to course material. Great listener”
Dan Balbango, Positive Psychology course student
